This work experience lesson introduces learners to the workplace processes involved in facilitating and mediating educational activities, routines, and play experiences within Early Childhood Development settings.
Learners will gain supervised practical experience in facilitating indoor and outdoor play, organising learning activities, supporting routines, encouraging child participation, and mediating learning experiences that support holistic development. The lesson focuses on practical workplace facilitation and mediation processes that encourage creativity, communication, exploration, problem-solving, and active participation.
In addition, learners will participate in play facilitation activities, daily programme implementation, routine management, workplace observations, and reflective practices that support effective learning experiences in ECD environments.
This lesson prepares learners to confidently facilitate and mediate learning programmes and routines while supporting inclusive and developmentally appropriate educational experiences.
