1.1 Course Synopsis
The Early Childhood Caregiver Skills Programme prepares learners with the foundational knowledge, caregiving skills, and practical competencies required to support the holistic development and well-being of babies, toddlers, and young children within Early Childhood Development (ECD) environments.
The programme focuses on nurturing care, child development, learning through play, health and hygiene practices, safety and protection, nutrition, emotional support, and the creation of stimulating learning environments that support children’s cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development.
This skills programme is designed for individuals who want to enter the Early Childhood Development sector or strengthen their caregiving knowledge and practical childcare skills within community-based, centre-based, and home-based care environments.
