Reporting and recording assessments are important parts of the assessment process. After conducting an assessment, the assessor must evaluate the evidence, document assessment decisions, and provide feedback to learners.

Assessment reporting helps to:

  • and support quality assurance processes.

Assessors must ensure that all assessment documentation is:

  • accurate,
  • complete,
  • professional,
  • and aligned with assessment requirements.

PA0301 — Draft a Feedback Report Inclusive of Remedial Recommendations, Where Required

After evaluating learner evidence, assessors must prepare assessment feedback reports.

Assessment feedback reports should include:

  • learner details,
  • assessment outcomes,
  • strengths identified,
  • areas requiring improvement,
  • and remedial recommendations where necessary.

Assessors must discuss assessment outcomes with learners professionally.

Assessors should:

  • discuss learner strengths,
  • explain areas requiring improvement,
  • recommend corrective actions,
  • and answer learner questions.

Remedial Actions

Where learners are not yet competent, assessors may recommend:

  • additional practice,
  • further learning activities,
  • workplace coaching,
  • reassessment opportunities,
  • or additional evidence collection.

Remedial actions should be realistic and agreed upon with the learner.


PA0303 — Obtain and Record Feedback from the Candidate on the Assessment Intervention

Assessors should obtain learner feedback regarding the assessment process.

Candidate feedback may include:

  • understanding of assessment instructions,
  • satisfaction with assessment fairness,
  • clarity of communication,
  • suitability of the assessment environment,
  • and overall assessment experience.
