Important

Support every stage with workplace evidence. Your evidence should demonstrate that you actually applied the knowledge and skills rather than simply describing what you would do.

6.2 Evidence Requirements

As you work through the practical activity, collect and organise your evidence.

Stage Evidence you may need
Define Problem definition and supporting information
Investigate At least 2 documents/information sources
Consult Meeting minutes, emails, stakeholder responses
Generate solutions Brainstorming or other problem-solving evidence
Select solution Selection criteria, comparison and justification
Implement Implementation action plan
Evaluate Results, strengths, weaknesses and reflection

Keep your evidence clearly labelled so the assessor can easily connect each piece of evidence to the relevant requirement.

6.3 Witness Testimony & Logbook

Your workplace application also requires supporting evidence from your workplace.

Witness Testimony

A supervisor, manager, mentor or other appropriate workplace witness can confirm that you applied the required knowledge and skills in the workplace.

The PoE identifies Witness Testimony as supervisor confirmation of workplace application.

Logbook

Record your workplace activities and the time spent on them as required by the assessment process.

The PoE assessment checklist includes both Witness Testimony and the Logbook as summative evidence.

6.4 Knowledge & Assessment Requirements

The workplace activity forms part of a broader Portfolio of Evidence.

Your final portfolio includes:

  • Completed formative activities.
  • Knowledge Questions.
  • Practical Workplace Activity.
  • Witness Testimony.
  • Logbook.
  • Required assessment documentation.
  • Assessment Activities Checklist.

Knowledge Questions

The formal knowledge assessment contains six questions worth 30 marks covering the unit standard requirements:
