KM-01: Overview of Robotic Process Automation
This module introduces learners to the foundational concepts of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and provides a clear understanding of how automation technologies are transforming modern business operations. Learners are exposed to the basic principles of RPA, including what RPA is, how it works, and why organisations are increasingly adopting automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. The module explains how software robots (bots) mimic human actions when interacting with digital systems such as applications, databases, and web platforms. In addition, the module explores the background and evolution of RPA, giving learners insight into how automation developed from traditional scripting and macros into intelligent, scalable enterprise solutions. Learners will understand the relationship between RPA and broader technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). The module also highlights: The benefits and limitations of RPA Real-world use cases across industries The role of RPA developers in organisations Key components of RPA systems By the end of this module, learners will have a strong conceptual foundation that prepares them for more advanced RPA development and implementation topics in later modules.

KM-02: Basic Calculations and Logical Thinking Revision
