If you are using Yiba Wise on behalf of an accredited training institution or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that your institution agrees to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

Yiba Wise is a South African online learning platform created specifically for accredited training providers. We provide digital infrastructure to manage courses, learners, tutors, and compliance processes aligned with CETA, SETA, and other education bodies.

2. Who Can Use the Platform

Our services are intended for:

Accredited training providers and institutions
Registered tutors and educators
Students and learners invited or added by their training institution

Direct public enrolment by learners may be restricted. Students must typically be enrolled through an institution that uses Yiba Wise.

3. Account Creation & Responsibilities

Institutions and instructors are responsible for the accuracy of their profile, accreditation details, and uploaded course content.
Students are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and using the platform for learning purposes only.
You agree not to share your account with anyone or impersonate another user.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or is found to be misused.

4. Use of the Platform

You agree to use Yiba Wise only for lawful purposes. You may not:

Upload or distribute any content that is harmful, abusive, illegal, or infringes on third-party rights
Attempt to access or modify content you are not authorized to
Interfere with the operation or security of the platform
Misuse student data, assessments, or institutional records

5. Course Content and Ownership

All content uploaded by instructors or institutions (courses, lessons, quizzes, etc.) remains the intellectual property of the original owner. However, by uploading content to Yiba Wise, you grant us permission to host, display, and make it accessible to enrolled users for educational use only.

Yiba Wise does not claim ownership of institution-provided content.

6. Platform Availability

We strive to maintain high uptime and platform stability. However, access may occasionally be interrupted due to:

Scheduled maintenance or updates
Technical issues beyond our control
Security upgrades or infrastructure changes
Yiba Wise is not liable for any data loss or inconvenience caused by temporary outages.

7. Fees and Payments (if applicable)

Some platform features may be subject to subscription fees or institutional licensing. These details will be communicated directly with the institution. Payments are handled securely through verified channels. Yiba Wise does not store sensitive payment information.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Institutions are expected to use learner data responsibly and may not extract or repurpose platform data without permission.

9. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access to the platform at any time if:

You breach these Terms

Institutional accreditation expires or is revoked

10. Limitation of Liability

Yiba Wise is provided “as is.” While we aim to deliver a reliable platform, we do not guarantee:

Absolute error-free performance
Immediate resolution of third-party service issues
Accuracy of user-uploaded content

We are not responsible for losses arising from misuse, downtime, or external factors beyond our control.

11. Changes to Terms

Yiba Wise may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, with the “Last Updated” date reflecting the revision. Continued use of the platform after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes arising out of these Terms will be resolved in South African courts.
